Teddy was a legend. Making timeless music that our parents lived their lives to. Hell, my mother and father may have been conceived to one of those albums. He definitely one of those artists while laying the foundation for artists like myself. 10 platinum albums in a row!!! His legacy will remain forever.  The Lord takes none of us without reason, he has a plan for us all. Let’s rejoice in the life of rather than bask in the loss of.

I totally agree with you when we lose someone we care about normal reaction is to become sad but instead of being sad the right thing to do would be to celebrate the life of the person……with that said….turn off the lights and light a candle.

im just 20 years old, but i grew up in a very “old” house, i guess thats why people say i have an old soul, anywho, i was very shocked to hear that the legendary “panty dropper” passed away. my favorite song of his had to be “turn off the lights”…next to that is “when somebody loves you back” …he will live thru his music like all legends do. RIP Teddy

Teddy Pendergrass was a legend to most of us. We either heard his songs when we were little and asked our moms what a “love TKO” or we heard our parent playing his songs like “Close the door”. He is now sitting at our Lord’s feet, how lucky is he.

  11. Rebecca SAYS:

Long live teddy. Loved his music I remember Saturday mornings watchin ms mom groove to his music. Love the instrumentals to all his song, that’s why I loved his music it was original and classic wish there could be more like him.

Yes Teddy will truly be missed. He was an icon, despite the gay rumors. I always wonder how Trey feels about all of the gay rumors about him. Especially from Sandra Rose. It doesn’t matter to me, but I always just wanted to know how he felt about them.
